SustainChain™

An AI-powered platform connecting global sustainability leaders, investors, and NGOs to accelerate the UN Sustainable Development Goals. As Lead Designer on a three-year Thoughtworks engagement.

I implemented a Material UI design system for a globally distributed team, designed CitizenChain in parallel, collaborated closely with founders, POs, and engineers across the full product lifecycle, and stayed on as fractional Lead Designer after the engagement ended to continue evolving the platform through nowadays.

I led the end-to-end redesign of a platform that had been rejected by the client weeks before its UN General Assembly debut, and rebuilt it from scratch in under three months.

Recognized twice by Fast Company as a World Changing Idea through design, 2022 and 2023. From 0 to 4k+ global leaders on sustainability.

I am proud to have being part of the design team of an award-winning AI-powered sustainability platform. The platform was recognized by Fast Company as "Best Designs of 2023" and "World Changing Ideas". It was developed in partnership between the US Coalition on Sustainability, the United Nations, and Thoughtworks.

In April 2021, the company leadership invited Kent Rahman and me to solve a big problem. They had been working on a platform for almost a year, but the client was unhappy with the experience, product, and interface. We had a super short timeframe to fix the problems as the project was to be presented at the United Nations World Economic Forum. In record time, we redesigned the whole platform, implemented a design system based on Material-UI, and worked with developers from around the world to make it happen. In parallel, we designed and built CitizenChain, which is the tool offered to the community to track and pressure companies and politicians toward sustainability issues.

I continue to contribute to SustainChain as an independent designer, by helping to evolve the platform through design strategy, product thinking, design research, and interface design. I am also helping to build a design and development team to continue delivering experiences and connecting people who help save our planet.
